As one arm of the Exascale Computing Initiative, a partnership between the Department of Energy Office of Science (SC) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the Exascale Computing Project (ECP) ‘brings together research, development, and deployment activities as part of a capable exascale computing ecosystem to ensure an enduring exascale computing capability for the nation.’ In its seventh and final year, the project is currently composed of 1,000 researchers, scientists, and HPC systems companies and has participation from 15 DOE laboratories supporting the key research areas:

- Software Technology
- Hardware and Integration
